Kate's Bush

Postby Bubby » Thu Jan 18, 2007 18:47

Just got round to 'er for some strange reason, can't believe it's taken this long :?

Been much enjoying The Dreaming at the moment, would i be right in thinking this is her wacko album? The donkey impressions are rather disquieting :eeeek:

I currently have The Kick Inside in my car - and have played it a lot. I recall really liking Lionheart, but haven't heard it for donkey's years. Perhaps I should buy it!

...damn, I was going to log off and go and do something else...

...The Dreaming is her "I've Gone Mad" album alright; she says as much herself in this big feature/interview thing in Mojo...it's also one of her best albums too, I reckon...'Pull Out The Pin' and 'Leave It Open' are big faves of mine...

..."In Search of Peter Pan' from Lionheart makes me blub...and when the male voice choir comes in towards the end of 'The Ninth Wave'...woooooaaahhh.....

...I could blather on, and probably will later, but for now I'll say; musical genius and national treasure...each album deserves its own thread, and this isn't even a Kate Bush forum... :D

i love kate bush!!!! right up to the red shoes, that was awful in my opinion.
the dreaming is definitely one of the best, so much nice stuff in there!!

i agree totally on the ninth wave, especially when the choir goes up a half note at the end, magical and spinechilling!!

Somebody say Hounds of Love! All right, I will.

The song, and the album, still give me goosebumps.

Haven't heard the new one - was all excited about it until I heard the single (King of the Hill, or something) and everything about it put me off.

I used to love her and then that new album left me cold and I kind of stopped listening to her. The kick inside I reckon is the best, I love that. Then it's a toss up between the dreaming and hounds of love. I never really got into the sensual world, I only listened to it a few times though.
