JG (Foetus etc) Thirlwell
Seen his name mentioned here a few times so some of you must dig right? He's Foetus and Steroid Maximus (anyone know where i can find the early stuff?) and Wiseblood and Stinkfist and Manorexia and Baby Zizanie and...
Hole is one of my top ten rekkids i rekkin and i like most of his other stuff, even though i initially found some of it unlistenable flannel it tends to get into you eventually, don't think much good can be said about Boil, York or [controversial]Gash[/contoversial] however.
Just don't call him industrial.

Apparantly a certain mr Smith likes him too.Burn Your House Brown sounds pretty Thirlwellian to me.

Re: JG (Foetus etc) Thirlwell
Has anyone checked out the preview samples of the new Foetus album, HIDE?
It filled me with the sudden, inexplicable* urge to listen to lots of Cardiacs, Levitation and Pink Floyd.

*explicable really, because it sounds to me like Cardiacs, Levitation and Pink Floyd.

Those soundbites are most temptatious and who would ever want to argue with a “neo-symphonic avant-psychedelic concept album informed by the culture of fear?” Right up my alley.
That cover would be so great on vinyl or as a great big poster on my wall.

As from this morning, Hide is available to digitally download (for the princely sum of $9.99) from foetus.org. I know this because I am a friend of Mr Thirlwell on friendface. Because I am a very sad foetus fan.
Not as much as I am a sad cardiacs fan. But almost.

I am an utterly bloody delighted Foetus fan at the moment - that album is a total eargasm!

I love Foetus.
I also love Cardiacs. It's like saying that I love bunnies and kittens. There's nothing not to love about either, unless they try to eat each other or something.

Mr Thirlwell & Kittens?!
*swoons*
Going to download Hide now- can't wait! Gotta be better than Love, which was a bit of a disappointment tbh.
Mind, the Venture Bros album was aces, so that made up for Love's mediocrity.
