I've posted this already in the forum members' things bit but I thought it wouldn't hurt to put it here as well:

Hello everyone

If you care to follow the link below you'll find what can only be described as a "trailer" for our band "idiot". It's a short film announcing our presence to the world and advertising the fact we'll be releasing our debut ep in the autumn:

If you're looking for a Cardiacs connection then there is one, of sorts. I played in Bill Drake's band for a little while and I recorded his album "Briny Hooves" (as some of you are no doubt aware). Alongside myself there's my dear friend Darren Saddington, brother of Sharron Fortnam of NSRO and Shrubbies fame. Darren and I have been writing music on and off for something like twenty-odd years and we've finally decided the time is right to take things a little more seriously. There'll be plenty more in due course - hope you enjoy it.

There'll be an ep in a few months, but we have so much stuff an album is inevitable. All being well it'll be ready for early next year.

I did indeed enjoy it. Splendid work, sir! Kind of reminds me of Steve Hackett's early solo work, and that can only be a good thing Still not sure about the band name though i.e.

Person : "Who are you listening to?"
Me : "Idiot"
Person "No need for that, I was only asking!"

Thanks for the kind words. As far as the band name's concerned we've had a very positive response so far, and when I wear my tee shirt around town I often get some young kid saying 'Ha ha, Idiot!' which is great because it means it was noticed. Anyway, got to crack on with the other tunes. Cheers!
