Pledge Music! a.P.A.t.T.'s Progtastic CHESS release!

Postby Dot Wav » Wed Jul 21, 2010 22:37

Hello again Cardiacs men and Cardiacs menettes!
How're you all getting on?

Here at a.P.A.t.T. HQ we are collecting funds that will release an album next year.

It will be PROG.
It will be CHESS.
It will be Space, Battles, Gameplay and Robots.

If you would like to make a donation, to see prices, or to see what's on offer then simply click the link below.

http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/apatt

IF WE DON'T REACH OUR ASSIGNED TARGET THEN NO MONEY WILL BE TAKEN FROM YOU.

If we do, then you get what you pay for: TOP QUALITY PROG (at very least) + GOODIES (depending on your pledge).

And, on another note, if any of you are after some new music sometime soon, our split 12" on Upset the Rhythm is out on August 2nd, available to pre-order from RoughTrade and Norman Records NOW!

Thanks ABC, you're a true gent!

I'll see if i can wangle in "MAAAAARTEN MAAAAARTEN MAAAAAARTEN" into some lyrics about chess without the others noticing... :-O

Hope some more of you would like to pledge too :-)
There are some super duper things on offer and I really want to make an intense prog album.
I'm already very excited about it.

And remember, you don't pay anything at all unless we reach our huge target in about six weeks (argh!).

Brillog.

If I manage to find gainful employment before the deadline then I'll definitely be chipping in. In the meantime I've given the project a little plug over at ProgArchives, just on the off-chance.

Peekaboo Gents and Ladies!

Shameless self-promotion alert!

It's our video for The Village Idiot, the opening track from Paul the Record (the 12" split, officially released yesterday on Upset the Rhythm):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYjIt1kerZ8

Perv away!

Call it bias, but I think it's simply wonderful :D
(There have been some mutterings of it being rather Cardiacs-esque already, which, as we all know, is no bad thang!)

Hope you're all well!

Thoughts on an SAE please.

:D I have acid flashbacks like that!

It was like watching Benny Hill, A Clockwork Orange and Trumpton all at the same time!

Bloody marvelous! 8)

That's just silly. :D

Dab of Cardiacs yes, dab of Sykes & Hill yes, dab of Bonzo, laaavly. New contender for my funeral song? Perhaps.

**** me, they were a fantastic spectacle; hopping genres and changing instruments like hot potatoes. They (all) sing like ex-Girl, feed back like Sonic Youth, pop their synths like the Human League, and look like Danielson-Kraftwerk.

And then Secret Chiefs 3 played and were awesome as well.

Very nice thank you very much lovely yes certainly.

Just wanted to say what a great show a.P.A.t.T. put on at the Supersonic festival on Friday night! In fact, that Friday was, for me, the best day of the lot: a.P.A.t.T., Mike Watt and Secret Chiefs 3!

So, er, any plans to come to Nottingham sometime soon?!?
