Knifeworld album

Postby Alternate BC » Wed Jul 08, 2009 21:28

A message from Kavus :

You can now pre-order Knifeworld's fantastic Buried Alone: Tales Of Crushing Defeat on the format of YOUR choice.
Perhaps you'll choose the 'crystal quality' of the triple gatefold CD. All the beautiful artwork rent amazing on a unique CD. Maybe you're more in tune with 'the old guard' and wish your uncompromising psychedelic albums on vinyl. Buried Alone: Tales Of Crushing Defeat is available as a 180 gram, gatefold sleeve LP. So called 'modernists' may also choose to go with this format as it comes with a free MP3 download of the entire record.
CDs are going for £8.99, while the sumptuous LP retails at £12.99.
So, you're a 'download freak' are you? Well then you'll have to wait till the actual release date (August 17th) before you secure your copy of THE MOST PSYCHEDELIC ALBUM MADE THIS MILLENIUM. You can purchase either through Itunes or any of those other download sites. It's available through all of them.
Shoppist are you? Like to buy your LYSERGIC ENGLISH ROCK in one of those archaic music stores, independent or otherwise, of your choice? Knifeworld's Buried Alone: Tales Of Crushing Defeat is distributed through Universal and available in whatever record shops are actually left.
This is where to go to-

Knifeworld gigs to follow, keep an eye on your bulletins.
x

I would usually get the cd but the big heavy gatefold vinyl + download option seems like just the sumptuous reward I deserve.
Looking forward to the vinyl snigle too, can't recall the last time I had one of them!
Ah, busy consumer joy in Cardiacs land, fleeting and rare as summer weather in Amsterdam...

from facebook
A Badge of Friendship are very proud to present Knifeworld's debut performance and album launch at 93 Feet East.

Knifeworld is Kavus Torabi of Cardiacs / Guapo / The Monsoon Bassoon. The debut single "Pissed Up On Brake Fluid" has already been featured on Kerrang! Radio and John Kennedy's show on XFM.

The forthcoming album "Buried Alone: Tales of Crushing Defeat" is set for release on August 17th and it looks like this will be one busy month for Knifeworld! Not only will a track from the album be featured on Classic Rock Prog's August 5th cover mount CD, but the band are also set to record an XFM session and, of course, there's the debut live performance and album launch!

Come down and witness Knifeworld's trippy, intricate riffs and catchy psychedelic hooks, as the music draws you in and sends you into a rock-enduced euphoria.

This will be a show you cannot miss.

My Knifeworld snigle was on the doormat when I got in last night - this morning I got an email telling me it's been despatched. Now that's service.

Excited at the prospect of the album launch gig!

Kavus, if you're reading this: please bring your live gig experience, and your curious hairdo, to Brighton.

Pissed up on Brake Fluid arrived the other day yay!

Right now I don't have anything to listen to it on so it's just sitting on the table. I think I can hear it humming to itself when the lights are off. No, wait. That's the fridge.

Looking forward to the cd - myspace's music player stinks....
