I stumbled upon this link with numerous cardiacs rarities and bootlegs, though I have no way of knowing at the moment how active this page still is,
It said that he'll only take trades and that he is not just selling them. However I'm not currently in a fitting position to be able to fork out a lot of money on a rare item that he's interested in (there is a link on the page with a list of things he wants).

I'm sharing this here because I feel that as much of Tim's work should be shared with the general public as possible, and that nothing should be kept from being heard. There are rare instrumentals among other songs (hymn, The New General and Hello Mr Minnow with the subtitle The Music Goes Round and Round) and plus they are not all just sourced from mp3's so these may or may not be lossless files that we're talking about.
So if anybody can acquire one of these items, please share it in some way.

I swear I tried contacting this bloke and was met with the sound of the one-handed man clapping.

Huh, that's odd. How long ago was this?
And another thing, in his part where he lists The Seaside he included "hymn" in his tracklisting. How would that be?
Also I'm now realizing that I probably should've made this thread in the collectors corner, sorry about that!

Hymn wasn't on the Seaside cassette and the only version I know of is a live version (see below), so I think this is a typo.
The other tracks you mention are from something called 'Rarities', which is a collection of outtakes, alternative versions and a couple of live tracks, as well as a couple of tracks from Grown Ups and Panixphere. It came marked as 'Rarities CD 1/3' (from torrent)(19 tracks in total), but I haven't seen any mention anywhere of CDs 2 & 3, so I don't know if they actually exist. I do have a few more similar odds and sods of tracks though, so possibly they do. I doubt very much if any of them are lossless.
As for the other bootlegs on his page, most are readily available if you look for them

And if she only had stopped making that hissing noise . . .

Yes, that Rarities collection only appears to have 1 volume. I don't think a the second and third one exist.

Are any of the unreleased songs like A Picture of Misery or The New General or others available in other places?

Re: Cardiacs Rarities/bootlegs/whatnot
Picture of Misery is on the Brixton Ace 1983 bootleg (and maybe others?)
The New General is on the aforementioned Rarities CD, as well as a few bootlegs

It was the secret hidden track after Nurses on Side 1. It's only about thirty seconds long and very quiet, so I guess you could say it's not really a "proper" version, but it is there.

Oh!

Thanks Pheeel. It's a long time since I listened to the cassette. I vaguely remember now, there being something at the end of a side, but I just dismissed it as being a bit of "mucking about filler" and didn't pay it much attention.
Now, where's that cassette player. . .

Is it on the CD? I haven't listened to either the cassette or the CD for ages.

No it's not on the CD I have. The CD doesn't even have Nurses, so I guess both tracks were cut when they put the CD together

Oh yes, of course. There was no Nurses... I'll have to fish out the cassette.

What this guy is trading looks like a certain section of my vinyl & cassette collection. I've got quite a lot of the music on his list either on cassette or vinyl, and something by most of the bands. I think this might be the guy who used to sell the bootleg cassettes & videos outside Camden Market.
