is the one you uploaded today with a spliced in piece meant to be an upgrade on what you posted yesterday?

aah, I see. This version:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/dsen59
Is Gehenna's audio from the youtube vid. it's OK enough, but I think me and Pheeel are now in agreement that it's too slow/the wrong pitch.

It's superseded by this one:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/2f26q7
which is Pheeel's "aloadofpiffol" one with the missing bit filled with a pitch-corrected bit from Gehenna's.

...I'll remove that older link as it's muddying the waters, and then I'm going to have one of these: :drinkers:

LOL, best emoticon ever.

I didn't mind the last one but looking forward to your latest creation.

I am glad that in this fan community I have found people as obsessive as I am about having the "best" version of a track like this. I actually tried to splice Piffol 6X two nights ago and it was "ok" but I wasn't proud enough of it to share.

...and they're all now outmoded by this one:

http://www.sendspace.com/file/l8yplr

All that faffing around with other versions, when I could have just pasted in a bit from several seconds later in the same bloody mp3, which I have now done.

I am clearly some kind of idiot.

...drink make brain work good! I'm also making lamb tagine with cous cous, proving that tipsy men can multi-task :)

If you haven't seen it yet, I was also able to fix the Mark Radcliffe session Nurses Whispering Verses, so that's all the errant files from Greyhounds blogspot post sorted...

Someone should ask Kavus. In this interview he mentions it as being one of his favorite Cardiacs tracks :D

Honestly though I wouldn't be surprised if it was just T.V.T.V. But it would be quite cool if we could get a confirmation from someone in the know one day.

Sorry for the bump.

Hi there folks, my first post here. Becoming a certified Cardiamaniac. BTW, there is a great thread at PE on cardiacs that you guys should check out. I did ask Kavus if a "Piffol Two Times" exists....he must have forgotten to answer that question, but he did respond with this statement (which blew my lid off):

"With perhaps the exception of a clarinet, Tim is playing all the instruments on the Piffol pieces. All this while he was still a teenager. Remarkable." - Kavus

That's impressive. Thanks. I thought that Dominic Luckman was involved somewhere but I suppose Kavus knows best.

Yeah, I'd also read somewhere that Dominic was playing on the Piffols. I assumed he was drumming.

cheers

...to me some of the drumming on the Piffols sounds quite machine-like. Hmmm...

I thought the Piffol project was just Tim and Dominic? Dominic drummed and Tim did everything else!
Hello little doggy,
My, you are a nice dog,
What did you just say then?
You could do some tricks! Oh, good, then will you show me?
My word that's a good one!
Would you like a cigarette?
No you can't, they're bad for you!

The snare drums especially sound like samples, in their repeated uniformity. (Machines is good tho! Mebbe I'm wrong tho.) :?
