Concerts and stuff

Well, it was about time to add another forum to the board.
here we can announce gigs, and discuss them afterwards.
any band is good, would you like to know who else is going to a particular convert? this is the place to ask!

Authority: 31st March, Barfly.

I shall be there...

Admirals Hard: 22nd (?) April

If it's then, I shall be there. If not, I've booked train tickets for nothing...

Don't imagine you'll be jetting in special-like, so probably safe to announce in this formative thread that Ms Dogsetc. is off to see the Mighty Diamonds tonight:

while i'll be sat at home with our young'un 'watching' the dreaded Comic Relief; might have a few extra splashes of Reggae Reggae Sauce* 'tho to compensate.

The Dogstands enjoy Reggae Reggae Sauce. It makes a pleasant change from Encona Hot Pepper sauce which is also very good.
Hmmmmm!!

That's spooky dragging this one up -- with reference to my post of 16 March, me and mine will be going to see Cardiacs on 16 November, while the young'un will be watching Children in Need on the telly with her big cousins.
Never actually liked that R R Sauce when i eventually got hold of some, but i had some Encona Hot Pepper sauce just an hour ago with some veggie chilli.
It's a funny old world.

Read in Pitchfork today, about an ATP event coming up in NY state:

as if a My Bloody Valentine headlining set wasn't enough, ATP New York unveiled just the beginning of its completely astounding 30-act lineup, curated by both MBV and ATP:

My Bloody Valentine
Built to Spill performing Perfect From Now On
Meat Puppets performing Meat Puppets II
Thurston Moore performing Psychic Hearts
Tortoise performing Millions Now Living Will Never Die
Shellac
Mogwai
Polvo
fvck Buttons
Autolux
The Drones
Low
Wooden Shjips
Edan with Dagha
Thee Silver Mount Zion Orchestra

Makes me wonder if anyone is ever going to 'curate' Cardiacs into one of these things, wouldn't that be great, to irritate/stimulate so many tiny minds at once - Cardiacs doing 'Sing To God' in its entirety!
Well, I can dream.
Do you know what I mean to say
I meant to say to you today
A day goes by I try thats why
I try to speak to you today

I think someone here once tried to get everyone to suggest Cardiacs for the ATP festival in Camber Sands - they'd be perfect for it. I still have daydreams about them playing ALMAAHATWWW with a full orchestra...

If Damon Albarn curated a Meltdown I bet he'd try and get Cardiacs. But yes, to see them mit Orchestra playing A Little Man...
Oh god, that'd be just bloody amazing.

Orchestra + Cardiacs really would be fantastic.

I've always said I'd really, really like to hear an original Tim Smith penned symphony/opera.

i think ATP is an excellent place for a Cardiacs gig.

I cant imagine that they havent been asked allready, maybe they told whoever it was to bugger off!
