Althou . . . I certainly wouldn't call Kavus Torabi, and Melanie Woods lifetime Cardiacs
members!

...perhaps he means they're like the Jesuits; once you're with them, you're with them for life, even if you leave... 8)

(with apologies to Julian Cope, who first used that analogy when referring to himself and his ever-changing band line-up)

i seriously considered booking a flight for that gig, i can get to London and back for less than a 100 euro's but i wont have any money for a hotel.

...can you do flight/concert/night flight back (for the exhilarating "did I just dream that?" quality you'd get when you wake up back in your own bed the following morning/afternoon)?

nah, not for that price unfortunately
i can get a flioght back late the same evening, but the total cost would exceed 400 euro's then, and that is a bit too much

I'm gutted I can't go to this - apart from anything else, the venue is practically walking distance from my house (sorry Frosty!)

I have zero credibility so I don't mind telling you what I'm doing instead: I'm off to see Willie Nelson at Wembley Arena.

Annoyingly timed as it's the same night as Wyatt Moss-Wellington will be playing his last gig before going back home to Australia.

Half wondered if I might be able to make it to both, but I wouldn't get to Bush Hall much before 10, so probably not much point.

I expect Wyatt will play his cover of Bill Drake's Ghosty Ghost.
