18+ Age restriction :(

Sounds great for those able to attend nonetheless, and great for Tim obviously.

‘For The Benefit Of Mr Smith’

It was on a long, late Cardiacs musically driven journey back from a gig somewhere not even worth mentioning in August 2011, that Mr Foozling and Mr Luckman got to discussing amongst other weighty subjects, the idea of doing their own benefit gig for Tim.

The live band benefit gigs had already happened here in the UK, the U.S and in various other parts of the world.
The beautiful ‘Leader Of The Starry Skies’ album and its little loyal companion had sold well with the exciting promise of more to come.
But to their knowledge no one had yet, just played Cardiacs audio recordings through a live venue PA to the fans.

So with the bands blessing ‘The Benefit Of Mr. Smith’ came into being.

With Dominic’s sordid connection to the band and Foozling’s plappy experience as a performer and DJ, they decided that if they could produce a two and a bit hour programme of Cardiacs songs played at battle level in a venue full of loyal fans with proper lighting, stormy stage effects, heavy smoke and an ordinary Mr. Smith benefit shop, that it would not only raise some more filthy money for Tim, but would also give fans the chance to gather once again in the pond, to celebrate the music and rejoice in an atmosphere that will be as close to a Cardiacs show as they can make it.

They hope to see you there.

Anyone know where tickets can be bought from? Is it direct from Bull & Gate or are there other outlets?

Yes, tickets are available from 3 sites

http://www.wegottickets.com/bullandgate/event/141465

http://www.seetickets.com/Event/AN-EVEN ... ate/600038

http://www.ticketweb.co.uk/user/?region ... ent=477339

The £12.00 part of the ticket goes directly to Tim.

There is a £1.20 booking fee for all 3 sites which we have no control over.

Choose delivery option - E Ticket when asked and you will be sent an authorisation code.
Your name will then be on the door on the night.

Hope this helps and you can make it.

Tickets are selling nicely and we hope to sell out.

The capacity of the B&G is 200 and we are currently at 120 in 2 weeks

Hope to see you there?

If I went to a BBQ and there was no meat, I'd be like, "Hey, Guber! Where's the meat?!"

Ive just realised that the "club fandango" cardiacs live recordings evening has just sold out! How great is that for both Tim and his afficionados! (I am one of three attending and other two companions will not be able to control me (and my possible illegal karaoke and air guitar outbursts!!)

Hats off to all those who made this a sell out and so looking forward to going mental with you all (just hope I can get the last train home! fvck who cares!!)

Any cab numbers?? (joke!)

Hmm, that wasn't the impression I got initially :?
Thinking about it tho, it would make sense in that environment, (and with the promise of unheard bits from Tim) but surely it would limit the choice of tracks?
Unless there's 'new' live material . . . ?!
And if she only had stopped making that hissing noise . . .

I agree i didn't get that impression at first either until the post 3 above ? it would make sense but like you said they could only use the high quality live cds and that would limit their choice?

I think if its at battle level it will be a mix of stuff. I mean they have what 5 live albums ?
