Thought I'd just put up a few new things that haven't been mentioned so far :)

A new tribute gig:

http://www.thedirtysouth.org/tag/leader ... rry-skies/

A Knifeworld show raising moneys for Tim. This is on top of the one in Kingston with Wizards of Twiddly, Knifeworld and Max Tundra. (Jun 11th I think)

A new review:

Also, notably - I've just found this on the HMV website:

http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProductDet ... sku=120463

It's not actually selling it yet but could this be the start of some wider distribution?

Sadly not, I was at my nearest indie record store today but I don't think they had it. In any case, I don't own a turntable so I wasn't looking too hard.

I managed to get one yesterday from my local record shop. It is a lovely thing. I have no way of playing it though. Must sort that out as I have loads of vinyl that I can't play.

Is it possible to get one online or is it shop only?
Hello little doggy,
My, you are a nice dog,
What did you just say then?
You could do some tricks! Oh, good, then will you show me?
My word that's a good one!
Would you like a cigarette?
No you can't, they're bad for you!

LotSS available in one more online record shop: http://www.townsend-records.co.uk/multi ... E%20STARRY - admittedly I've never heard of this place but oh well.

Some interesting stuff.

Another benefit gig (on top of the Wizards of Twiddly one in Kingston and a Knifeworld one in, I think, Brighton) - this one's in America (San Fran): http://theartsnoticed.myfullseat.com/ev ... ne-21-ONLY

"Performing will be Dominique Leone, Wiener Kids, Inner Ear Brigade, Moe! Staiano, Grex, Amy X Neuburg, ReCardiac Fly, performing the music of Cardiacs/Tim Smith."

So should be interesting. If you happen to be on the Pacific coast of the USA I'm sure it'll be a blast. As it is, I'm not there so ... The last act sounds like a dedicated Cardiacs cover band too, which is in itself quite interesting.

Didn't know where else to stick this. RE: The whole 'why wasn't Ginger on the album?' fuss, I believe he may have been over in the States with the Michael Monroe band when this all went on. I asked him through one of his internet webpagescreens if he liked the album, and would he consider appearing if they did another, he said this:

"I'd love to get involved in another one. I'm gutted I missed that last one. A beautiful record by beautiful people for a beautiful man."
"If music is the food of love, then masturbation is just a light snack between meals."

I googled some of them - Moe! there, was in the Sleepytime Gorillas. Dominique Leone is the guy from Dominique Leone
I don't know anybody in San Francisco, and am currently feeling two thousand miles away from all good musical people and things.
Do you know what I mean to say
I meant to say to you today
A day goes by I try thats why
I try to speak to you today

I don't know them very well tbh, Moe! Staiano was the original drummer for Sleepytime Gorilla Museum though. He has some solo stuff I haven't heard too - very percussive. I'll try and track down some links but I'll probably take some time - got to get something important done and I haven't the time to track them all down yet :)
