I saw them in a similar size place in Northampton in 2005 but there were only about 50-80 people there. Me and a few others at the front managed to produce enough sweat to create the right atmosphere though. :D

must admit the last time they played oxford was about 2/3rds full-and i think me and meenie and a few mates were the ones there that were full on cardiacs fans-was nice as we strategically placed ourselves front row during the support act-well there wasn't much of a front row-more of that scared pastie shaped space at the front which no-one dare steps into-for fear of the unknown-unless your me who just walks straight into that nice space-
whats the worst thats going to happen? people staring at me cause i'm dancing at a music gig! thats what usally happens! and boy do i like to bop.not mosh....

well i ain't going to pay a tenner to act as a statue for the eve am i?
happens quite alot, seems that people are to scared to let their hair down-in fear someone takes the piss-sod that-enjoy yourself! :D

I always worry when I'm at a sparsely attended show in Richmond - 'well that's the last time this band are ever coming here' - (and it usually is)
I guess you and Meenie and your pals made up for the shortfall, if Cardiacs're coming back again!

made up for it-?well ican only speak for meself but i went for it(usually do) and all the crowd loved them anyways-i love seeing newbies the most-just trying to soak it all in but its happening all to fast! i took a mate who dived into the moshy area for too go of and things-not bad for a bloke in a wheelchair.

That's me I'm afraid, very british, numb with alcohol, barman looking at me funny, bass notes rattling my head, people over the other side of the room laughing at me, the next song is about how much of a cvnt I am, My grandad rising from the dead and sexually abusing me over the pool table, nothing to dance about there. I usually end up cowering in the corner waiting to go home. I'm great company though :D

After the London gig?

Postby Coupey » Fri Sep 14, 2007 12:10

Me and the wife are heading down to that London to catch the thrills and spills of Tim et al in all their pomp.

Afterwards we're likely to be in a high state of excitement and not really willing to go back to our hotel, so where is there to go anywhere nearby that might suit for a few late drinkies/disco dancing? We like our indie, our cheesy metal, a splash of jazz, most things that aren't charty or dancey rubbish actually, and would prefer not to have to dress up for the privilege of paying a fiver for a bottle of fizzy pop.

Any ideas?

(p.s. we have 2 spare tickets for Sheffield - can't make it anymore. Anybody want them for face value?)
