Mine's been for repair twice this year, it took 12 days both times so not too bad. :)

Been enjoying Alan Wake recently. Christ, it's scary!

Re: What game did you play today ?

I agree that the tower defence is terrible. I found it more worthwhile to fail them and re-capture the tower again afterwards. Which sequence are you up to? I remember the game got a great deal more exciting after sequence 4, with more varied missions and so on. There is also a decent lair/tomb miss...

Re: What game did you play today ?

They started rolling out the update yesterday morning in the UK. You'll know if yours has been bricked because it either says "Open Tray" or "Unrecognised Disc" when you put any game/CD/DVD into the drive after the update. Deleting the cache and all the other suggestions recommen...

Re: What game did you play today ?

but the game is lacklustre. Oh come on, seriously? :) I'd have been happy if all the game involved was traversing the city! I must be easily pleased. The latest system/dashboard update has bricked my Xbox, it no longer reads any discs. The support forums are awash with people having the same issue ...

Re: What game did you play today ?

Really well written review of AC:R here: http://kotaku.com/5861437/assassins-creed-revelations-the-kotaku-review Finished the game on Monday. I have to say, I think it's the best one yet, loved almost every minute of it (apart from the truly awful tower defence element - what were they thinking?) I ...

Re: The Central Element

Yep, mine came today. What a delight! Not a bad track on there.
I just finished listing it in Discogs http://www.discogs.com/Various-The-Central-Element/release/3221658. It took a while with all those credits.
Wish I was going to Roast Fest today. Hope y'all have fun.

Re: What game did you play today ?

Well, Batman: Arkham City was outstanding. I urge anyone to buy it. If you've played any of the Assassin's Creed games you'll certainly see similarities in terms of movement and stealth. Batfella has loads more toys this time, all of them useful. Lots more combo moves when fighting as well. The Ridd...

Xbox version, I bought it from a friend for £5 and a can of Strongbow. He hated it (not enough shooting).

Re: What game did you play today ?

I've just bought it! I haven't played it yet. I'm gonna devote the whole evening to it though. I bought L.A. Noire super-cheap last week. Took me 2 days to finish. As atmospheric and gorgeous to look at as it is, I wouldn't say it was the ground-breaking leap forward that it was billed as. Highly fl...

Enjoying the new Magazine album at the minute. You wouldn't think there was a thirty-year gap between this and the last one. Looking forward to seeing them in Manchester in 2 weeks.
Also, Sam Genders' new project, Diagrams debut EP is worth a listen.

Re: White Denim....a must band for you!

I'm really enjoying the live album they recently released on Jack White's Third Man Records. It's vinyl only and limited to 300 copies, so I don't suppose posting a rip I made of it is hurting anyone financially. Saw them twice this summer and the second time, at Liverpool Academy last month, has to...
