Re: What game did you play today ?

i'll try and find it to play mate Cheers, Ady. It's easy to find - it's currently the second one in the "RedLynx Picks: Pure Trials" track feed. state of decay I've been keeping my eye on this one too. I might wait to see what the reviewers make of it before I dive in. At 1600 MS points i...

Re: What game did you play today ?

Cheers, clippa. I was half expecting it to be a commentary on modern linear shooters and you'd just be riding down a straight narrow tunnel for 5 hours. It's on Xbox I'm afraid. No cross-platform as far as I know. I've been building Trials tracks pretty much since release day in April last yea...

Re: What game did you play today ?

Last week I built a track on Trials Evolution with a theme loosely based on the Metro games - it took about 30 hours to make! Much to my surprise it was chosen by the devs for the "RedLynx Picks" track feed and featured on their RedLynx TV spot on Ubisoft's Youtube channel. http://www.yout...

Re:

It does feel like I'm nearing the finale mind, and at 11 hours I would hope not. I think I squeezed 16 hours out of my campaign. I was stopping every ten yards admiring the sights though. Aye, I bought that Juarez game on Monday (1200 MS points, not sure what that is in the real world - £12 I think...

Re: What game did you play today ?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0fK4JKPvE4 That sums up my thoughts on the whole issue. Bastards! Bought Metro:LL for £22 as instructed. After four hours it seemed worth £8. Now after seven hours it's rather good actually, £13, quite varied and involving for a narrow corridor. Good looking too of c...

Re: What game did you play today ?

Just bought Metro: Last Light myself. Haven't played it yet - I'm waiting for the onset of darkness! I hope they've fixed the bad stealth mechanics of the first game, the reviews seem to think so. I'm also currently reading the book that Metro 2033 was based on. It's pretty good so far. I was told i...

Re: And So I Watch You From Afar

I like 'em a lot. When I first heard them I thought they were a bit of a 65DAYSOFSTATIC rip-off, but over time I've come to prefer them to 65DOS. Their live show is immense when they're on form.
I've scraped together some of their radio sessions over yonder.

Re: What game did you play today ?

Remember tomb raider, the tombs and the raiding and the puzzles and the jumping, broken up by the odd fight with bats and wolves? This one is cover shooting and quicktime events. [...] Tomb raider was dumb fun, they've someone managed to dumb it down to insultingly moronic and sapped all of the fun...

Re: Is this our Tim?

Ha, I'm always the first to defend Wikipedia against claims of unreliability of data, but I'd discredited the Tim Smith article because of that ridiculous list of bands that are claimed to be influenced by Cardiacs. So I didn't even think to look there for evidence. Thanks for pointing that o...

Is this our Tim?

Hi all, For the last 4 years or so I've been pedantically trying to keep the information on Cardiacs' (and Tim Smith's) Discogs page up-to-date and accurate. This morning I came across an entry for the Golden Egg 7" single by the band Eat (Fiction Records), that has Tim Smith credited as remixe...

Re: What game did you play today ?

Wow, I thought the forum was dead! I didn't actually think to, you know, log in and stuff. I'd just been checking the "active topics" and seeing nothing there. Well hello again everyone. It's been a good year for games for me. My top ones this time round are: 1. Far Cry 3 - a strong conten...

Re: Sing to God

Plus you got all the individual versions of vol 1 & 2 . I've had the individual ones too! I don't even remember where they went. Maybe the one you bought in book shop was the stolen one or.....if your friend has tw copies....maybe hes BSi  The stolen one was nicked in a different city ...
