7 Shades fundraiser for Tim

I couldn't see any reference to the 7 Shades fundraising LP on the forum. I'm sure it'll be on here somewhere but I thought a new topic on the subject wouldn't hurt. Further info here - http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/7shades The music is a direct tribute to Tim (hugely derivative but I think it...

Re: AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCMENT

Was hoping for some badges but I am going to treat my self to a new tshirt :) I have a little bag of Cardiacs badges that you can have. PM me your address and I'll send them to you. (Our pre-booked annual holiday annoyingly means I can't get to next Saturday's bash. I'll be thinking of you all and,...

Re: Cardiacs 101 Books Availability

My copy of the book was on the doormat when I got home from work yesterday and I've just finished it. It's a great read.

But what's this stuff about "bridges burned", Belch? I hope you and Big Ship Iron haven't had a falling out. If you have, sort it out - life's too short.

Re: Any interest in a CD swap?

Okay but, seriously, you've got to stop with this 'English' thing. Use British instead (unless you're talking about a nation that is really crap at all of the sports it invents, in which case England / English is correct).

Re: Any interest in a CD swap?

I see. It's odd that Monkton should make you feel a little defensive yet it's me that's on the receiving end of your diatribe. I thought we Brits / Americans had put all that 'friendly fire' stuff behind us??!

PS. English people? How very dare you.

It's called 'Sport Mode', from the album 'Living With A Tiger'.

I think that's the track I missed from my track-listing. What a dope.

If you were me, Bob, you'd be wondering why some people can't answer a simple question with an even simpler 'yes' or 'no'.

Re: Any interest in a CD swap?

...whether any of you find value in my music or not (it's all up on YouTube in the McClintic Sphere thread on Cardiacs Alike), it is unarguably original, therefore at least in the league of any mix CD in terms of effort of compilation. I could toss on some obscure NY avant-jazz or Allan Holdsworth....

Re: Any interest in a CD swap?

My CDs are finally in the post so should be tumbling through your letterboxes in the next couple of days (or, in Snards case, next week or so).

I'm not sure if you're wanting to know if today's favourites are different from yesterday or whether this is more a 'second favourite' list, but here are some names anyway...

1. All That Glitters Is A Mare's Nest
2. Fiery Gun Hand
3. William D Drake's first album

Re: Any interest in a CD swap?

God, I'm dim. I'd never even thought about that postage masterplan - I was just going to post Snard's CDs as and when I get them. I don't mind paying the couple of quid it'll cost to send on Snard's CDs. I laughed out loud at your description of trying to read track listings whilst driving. I've bee...

Re: Demographic Imperialism

I'd rather be seen as too discriminatory in my tastes than too promiscuous. What an extraordinary sentiment. In my experience, music lovers who care about how others view their tastes more often see a fondness for lots of different genres / styles / bands as a positive, some kind of badge of honour...

Re: Any interest in a CD swap?

It's a bleedin' DISGRACE that I've been so absent from this thread for the past couple of weeks. Work suddenly became absolutely nuts and pretty much everything outside of that (in my little world, at least) ground to a halt. My apologies. Thanks all for the CDs that you've sent. I've re-recorded mi...
