Re:

I'd like to see a sort-of-Cardiacs house band with Bob, Jim, Kavus, Jonny, Bic, Bill and assorted girls, all taking turns at the vocals. I had this crazy idea that Jo Spratley would do the vocals over LSD, since Spratley Japs is only a half stone's throw away from Tim's mouthbox tonal anyways. But,...

Spinney?

I heard this one on you tube and have it in a playlist but just realized. I don't seem to have it in my iTunes or CD's collection. I assumed it was on Sing to God 1 or 2 due to the image of Bob Lieth on the clip.

Where is this one hiding?

Re: Look what's new at the Consultant's Memorabilia Collecti

Yeah I was trying to compile another stack of stuff to get because the shipping to California USA is quite a bit so its better to try and get it all in one go instead of many different orders. I was thinking a vinyl of the 1. "Suzanna's still Alive" single. 2. This "Day is Gone" ...

Re: Where we talk about Bands That Are Influenced By Cardiac

There was once a band known as Silverchair. They did post nirvana angst rage sabbath slash punk rock. Later I think Daniel Johns discovered Cardiacs. He did a band called the dissassociatives. I discovered them on a youtube clip live show on Denton. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=MW6irmaVQpo Cardiacs...

Re: Rehearsal vids. Minor point of order.

I wish they'd release the whole thing instead of drip feeding it. Yeah. I think the sound and general feel of the bumming shed rehearsal videos is so perfect that, in my not so humble opinion, it may be the greatest thing ever recorded since recording. I saw a badly recorded clip of the bumming she...

Re: An Ant Bumming Shed Rehearsal?

Sorry, didn't mean to call you out as wrong. Just that I am myself taking a guess, since it has the look of 24 strobe and the 16x9 aspect even though it is quite pushed back in the frame on YouTube. Regardless. I'd be happy with any format because the content is so damn compelling. Intimate setting ...

Re: An Ant Bumming Shed Rehearsal?

Actually its not in 29.97 nor is it 4:3. Of course that could be a letterbox and 24fp conversion for YouTube. But I bet its film.

It looks like film. It moves like film. It looks 16:9 ratio. So I bet its a film transfer.

So Blu ray would be ideal.

Re: What is the WORST Thing About Cardiacs?

Worst thing about Cardiacs is that it renders much of my old music library unlistenable for periods of time. I mean at least with old movies we can still rely on the black and white film or tv and era specific acting/writing to be a semblence of it's own romantic reflection of a time past. Thankfull...
