Yes, this is still a very good track. Cardiacs-inspired for sure, but thoroughly their own! 8)

Can't get enough of that track right now - thanks for pointing them out! Liverpool seems to be something of a hotbed for young people making amazing music...

Here's my favourite track off Vive La Trance, especially the brilliantly warped yet groovy organ bit from 1:30 to approx. 2:40:

Re: What did you listen to today ?

Checked this out on a whim. I've listened to it 3 times today already  Demon Fuzz-Afreaka Afreaka! was the only release by Demon Fuzz. Released in 1970, Afreaka! is a wild mash of Afro-Latin funk, breakbeats, tripped-out soul, jazz fusion, and psychedelic journeying. These seven black musici...

Re: Krautrock

My knowledge of Krautrock doesn't extend too far beyond the usual, 'big' names, and of the stuff I've heard I like the electronic stuff every bit as much as the crazy psychedelic rocky stuff. If pushed, I would say that my favourite album of this 'scene', such as it is, is Amon Duul's Yeti: it's jus...

Hot Head Show

Every time I discover a band like this, particularly one that's from the UK (in this case, London), I wonder just how many other bands are out there hiding their quirky music from me right under my nose! I'm sure there are people on this forum who have heard of them, but if not, they should definite...

Re: No, but seriously, where the fugg is everyone.

I'm still here - an avid reader, if not contributor. I keep meaning to start threads about all these great new avant-progressive psychedelic jazzcore bands I've discovered hiding down the backs of sofas and under old floorboards, but then I get distracted. Like I said though, I am an avid reader of ...

Yeeeees! One of my favourite bands of all time, ever, definitely, hands down. I've never come across anything quite like them since I first discovered them a few years ago...

I like the Mars Volta bits where they sound less aimless and more punchy like At the Drive-In.

That is all...for now!

Oh yes, Ruins Alone! I am delighted and honored to say that I saw Ruins Alone live at last year's Supersonic Festival in Birmingham (UK) and it was ridiculously good. It blew away everyone else on the bill!
