It's a Saturday, so i'd imagine it's another Salisbury event, rather than just a release. I'm hoping the live Spratleys thing will happen again then, as i went along to the Lexington and it was stunning. I'm sure it's been noticed but there's a nine-minute summary . I suppose i should have posted a ...

Odessey & Oracle and The Casiotone Orchestra
While i was here i thought i might as well make myself useful. This is the nicest new music i've heard all year. Sort of baroque psych from Lyon; tempted...? http://odesseyandoracle.bandcamp.com/releases ('Night of the tacky toys' will either do it or it won't...) http://www.alecoute.net/wp-content/...

What, exactly, is a Walker print? Walker Print were a printing firm in Newman Street, London, that pretty well had the market sewn up in promotional postcards, etc. in the 70s and 80s. They don't seem to be still going... What they cleverly did was to put their logo and phone number on everything t...

Oh and I wonder if there will ever be a Rerelease of Ditzy Scene on any media? That song kills me how good it is. Makes me want to hear LSD so bad. Seeing as it was a very limited release, and it's the 'final' thing... then it should be some sort of priority i'd like to think, Which it obviously is...

Joanna Newsom definitely, from you lot above.
I imagine Mark Perry once sounded plain outrageous, and now sounds cliched, but i love his voice, Laaandon... as indeed i do Johnny Moped, bless him.
This one will upset, guaranteed: Green Gartside, and he's miming.

Saved me saying that, thanks Pheeel. It's a marvellous film, not the least the bit where he describes why 'Raining in My Heart' is the best song . I've not got the energy at the moment to read your potted wiki history of English punk that you've done for us up there Bob, but it always looks differen...

Hot Rats was my introduction, but i could be perfectly happy just having Uncle Meat and forgetting the rest... especially the guitary bits by Frank his-self. Wasn't it whippersnapper of this forum who had tapes [he'd made, i think] that had all the solos edited out. Highly laudable. What was the yo...

It's delightful what he says about On Land... ; and the detail of the first Henry Cow, the more familiar it becomes, the more mysterious somehow (what's it made of...?); Reich's Octet ; and Barrett. He's a quite innocently obsessed character Kavus. I didn't read about things i've not heard, apart fr...

That's crazy catchy. Didn't realise the new album was due so soon either (couple of weeks)!
It really is, i just watched it 3 times and i'm still not sure if i hate it or love it. That's one hell of a big bumming shed.
