The Faust Tapes, even more than first, the clear album, is for me the essence of Faust. I've been listening to this over and above much else by choice recently: http://ashcanmagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/BroadcastAndTheFocusGropup_InvestigateWitchCults_1-300x300.jpg ..and it's got a good d...

It was a just matter of weeks after i discovered Cardiacs that i discovered this forum, then in its early days. If it hadn't been for the discussion and micro-surgery that followed i'd still be wallowing about in my own ignorance.

You are a hero Alt., and thanks for everything. :)

I ordered it after hearing about 10 seconds of the first track. I've had it on and off since; the best bits are very Cardiacsy, other bits are very Van der Graaf Generatory and other bits i'm not sure. But to have it in the world, and knowing Franz and Pheeel's deep down goodness, i'd say it's worth...

Yeah. In the main i thought he was even more bloody-mindedly obscure than his usual. On the strength of the first one we're in for no easy ride—pay attention, no day-dreaming, or you can get off and walk. Good on him for getting three hours of it.

Shamefully i've forgotten that i've never heard this -- the various descriptions in this thread have left me impatient to hear it. The first album maybe is for us weirdos only. That's done it. :) I'm gonna scribble a cheque to Betty Martin pronto. I can wait, it's nice to expect. I'll report back.
