Re: Ebay item: Do any forum members own this ?

Yea, it's a rather common trick, print Wikipedia articles sell them online. Not sure there are many people silly enough to fall for it though. Not much to see here anyway.

Re: Zeuhl/Avant-Prog/Etc.

Rare footage of SMM performing a few songs on a TV show in 1974... Brilliant stuff.

Re: Major Parkinson

MP are clearly influenced by Cardiacs (I read a recent interview where they cheerled our boys!) True, though MP also said on interview that they had no idea who Cardiacs were when they recorded their first album. They only found out about them thanks to the many critics who compared them to Cardiacs.

Re: JG (Foetus etc) Thirlwell

He was involved in Kavus' "Exquisite Corpse Game" that was released last year, so it's not THAT surprising to hear he's into Cardiacs.

I think she's Cardiacs' long-term shop girl?

Actually I always wondered if she's the one Mary who keeps popping in Tim's lyrics once in a while(ie, in Odd Even) :)

Re: Piffol....

...to me some of the drumming on the Piffols sounds quite machine-like. Hmmm... The snare drums especially sound like samples, in their repeated uniformity. (Machines is good tho! Mebbe I'm wrong tho.) :? Think there was a theory on the forum saying that On Land And In The Sea was part samples, par...

Hi there folks, my first post here. Becoming a certified Cardiamaniac. BTW, there is a great thread at PE on cardiacs that you guys should check out. I did ask Kavus if a "Piffol Two Times" exists....he must have forgotten to answer that question, but he did respond with this statement (w...

On this very subject, It only just occurred to me recently how similar the instrumental bit of Duck & Roger is to the one in Return Of The Giant Hogweed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTuJQL8GBqY&feature=player_detailpage#t=414s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKQuh_RZeew&feature=player...
